I agree in the statements ranking this movie among some of the greatest. I mean the scientific accuracy, cinematography, acting, the score, its impeccable. But I almost wished cooper died in this scene. The science doesnt compute that he could be released by the black hole into the universe in which he came from. It would have been vastly more powerful for me to have left this movie knowing that coopers last moments, which were allowed to happen by future beings in a 5th dimension, were spent cementing the future of the human race. The idea that he sacrificed himself so to link the essential chain between past and future that allows for the sustained life of countless more human beings? Unimaginable, but so powerful.
